The Totality of All Things

Shannon is currently directing the New York premiere of The Totality of All Things, a Jeff Award-winning play by Erik Gernand, presented by UP Theater Company.

When a hate crime rocks a small Midwestern town, an act of vandalism escalates into something with grave consequences. At the center of it all is Judith, a high school journalism teacher whose unwavering belief in truth and moral clarity is put to the ultimate test, and whose pursuit of justice begins to blur the line between conviction and obsession.

Timely, gripping, and beautifully crafted, this is exactly the kind of bold new work Shannon loves to bring to the stage.

ANY ORDINARY DAY

A comedic drama based on a true story, Any Ordinary Day explores the deep and complicated bond between a 72-year-old man and his nephew, two people for whom arguing is a love language. When a long-kept secret comes to light, their relationship is put to the ultimate test. Heartwarming, funny, and deeply human, this was exactly the kind of intimate, character-driven storytelling Shannon loves to bring to life. A particular joy of this production was collaborating closely with playwright Thaïs Bass-Moore, who also stepped into the room as a lead performer, bringing a rare and special energy to the entire creative process.

17 Minutes
world premiere

In the aftermath of a school shooting, Sheriff’s Deputy Andy Rubens must come to terms with the choices he made during the tragedy. In Scott Organ’s spellbinding new play, one man’s search for redemption prompts a community to ask—what will we be known for?

Shannon was honored to originate the role of Mary alongside long time friend and colleagues in this beautiful production.

CAROL'S LAST CHANCE is making the rounds on the festival circuit. Shannon thoroughly enjoyed working with Jordan Axelrod, from developing this story in the rehearsal room to shooting.
